Announcement regarding the package bomb sent to the Greek Embassy in France

A parcel was delivered to the Greek Embassy in Paris this morning, addressed to the Greek Ambassador to France. The package carried no return address, but the indication was that it had been sent from Italy.

The parcel was deemed suspicious, and the Embassy notified the competent department of the French Police, who confirmed that it contained a low-power explosive device and proceeded to detonate it under controlled conditions. The Embassy staff are safe and the Embassy premises were not damaged.
