Our country is represented in Burundi by our Embassy in Nairobi (Kenya) via parallel accreditation.
Burundi is represented in Greece by its Permanent Representative to the United Nations/ Geneva.
An Honorary Consulate operates in Bujumbura.
Bilateral Relations
The Greek community in Burundi consists of some 40 persons (all of them living in the capital, Bujumbura). Until the early ‘80s, they were about 1500. The dwindling numbers of Greek community members are due to the successive political crises in Burundi.
The Holy Archdiocese of Burundi and Rwanda is located in Bujumbura.
