Relations between Greece and Cameroon are at a quite good level despite the fact that sanctions imposed by the EU against the country have not been entirely lifted yet. Greece grants to Cameroon academic and military scholarships.

The Greek diaspora living in Cameroon contributes significantly to the strengthening of relations between the two countries. The Archdiocese of Cameroon under the Patriarchate of Alexandria is located in Yaoundé. It includes in its jurisdiction Chad, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe.
