Bilateral Relations

Czech Republic

There is mutual representation at the level of Embassies, which operate in Athens and Prague. Diplomatic relations between the Hellenic Republic and the Czech Republic were established οn 1.1.1993 after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia.

An Honorary Consulate of Greece is now operating in the city of Pardubice, while an Honorary Consulate is about to open in the city of Brno.

Bilateral Relations

Political relations between Greece and the Czech Republic are at a very good level and have been strengthened by the Czech Republic's accession to NATO in 1999 and to the EU in 2004. It should be noted that in the framework of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, the Czech Republic has assisted our country with fire-fighting vehicles and personnel.
