Cooperation between Greece and Iran in economic, trade and investment level is limited compared to the past, due to the existence of international sanctions. Nevertheless, the level of cooperation still remains satisfactory. The two countries have signed, during the last years, agreements in different sectors, such as transport, tourism and agriculture. Greece supports the diplomatic efforts for the revival of the JCPOA agreement and its unwavering adherence by the parties. Our country is fully aligned with the common positions of the European Union and supports the need for an impartial and independent operation of the IAEA's  mission, to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Our country is active internationally towards the stability and security in the Gulf region, participating, inter alia, in the EMASoH mission while supporting the need for maintaining open channels of communication with Tehran.
