Bilateral Relations

Malaysia

The Greek Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, is also accredited to Malaysia, and the Malaysian Embassy in Berlin is accredited to our country. There is an Honorary Greek Consulate in Kuala Lumpur, which is the largest city and economic center in Malaysia (the federal administrative center is Putrajaya).

Useful Information
Relations between the two countries are good, bilateral and multilateral cooperation is satisfactory. Within the framework of the EU-Maldives Dialogue, Greece has been contributing to efforts to combat poverty and promote environmental sustainability in the region. Our country sent humanitarian aid to the population affected by the tsunami, and has also granted scholarships at Greek academic institutions. Our contribution for small insular states is constant, within the framework of the United Nations.
