Political relations between Greece and Morocco are very good and are favoured by the absence of bilateral problems and the important relations between the EU and Morocco. Our country is always supportive to Rabat’s efforts to deepen its relations with the EU and its member states. Greece recognizes the constructive role of Morocco in the Arab world and in North Africa. There is also traditional and long- standing cooperation between the two countries within international organizations. Morocco has, in recent years, assumed the role of a reliable regional partner in the fight against terrorism, hosting the United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism UNOCT, while also playing the role of an honest and impartial mediator on the Libyan issue, promoting intra-Libyan dialogue. Relations between Greece and Morocco gained new momentum with the visit of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dendias, in Rabat (15.01.2020).
