Bilateral Relations

Nigeria

Greece maintains an Embassy in Abuja.  The Greek Ambassador in Nigeria has parallel accreditation to the Economic Community of West African States /ECOWAS (based in Abuja). Nigeria is represented in Greece by its Embassy in Athens.

Bilateral Relations

The relations between the two countries are traditionally friendly. A contractual framework is in place: Maritime Transport Agreement (2007), Economic and Technological Cooperation Agreement (2013), Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral consultations (2022). The first visit by a Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs to Nigeria took place on 9-10.01.2022. Prior to this, a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs paid a visit in 2018.
