North Macedonia
Βilateral relations between Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia were established after the signing of the Interim Accord of 13 September 1995, the Memorandum on “Practical Measures” related to the Interim Accord (13 October 1995) and the Memorandum on the mutual establishment of Liaison Offices in Athens and Skopje (20 October 1995).
On 12.02.2019, the “Final Agreement for the Settlement of the Differences as described in the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 817 (1993) and 845 (1993), the Termination of the Interim Accord of 1995 and the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between the Parties”, also known as the Prespa Agreement, entered into effect.
The Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Skopje also comprises a Consular Office, an Economic and Commercial Affairs Office, a Public Diplomacy Office, a Police Liaison Office and a Defence Attaché Office. A General Consulate has been operating in Bitola.
