The bilateral and multilateral cooperation level between the two countries is very good.

Diplomatic relations between Greece and San Marino were established in 1999. However, official relations between the two countries have existed since 1979.
The Embassy of Greece in Rome has a parallel accreditation and represents our country in San Marino.

The educational and cultural relations of Greece with San Marino are governed by the Agreement of Cooperation on the Cultural, Educational and Scientific Sector, which entered into force on 06.11.2018. The Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis received an honorary award in San Marinoin 2008.
