The Embassy of Greece in Singapore was established by the Presidential Decree No 18 of 10 March 2017, with the goal of an active presence for Greece in a country with important international economic activity. A Port Consular Office already operates in Singapore.

Useful Information
Bilateral relations with the Republic of Singapore are promising. Our bilateral economic relations with Singapore focus mainly on the merchant shipping sector, where there is much potential for further growth (e.g. attraction of investments). Moreover, there is satisfactory cooperation on the level of mutual support for candidacies in international organizations. On the occasion of the visit of the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs to Singapore, November 29th, 2017, the two sides confirmed the strengthening of Greece-Singapore relations and discussed ways of further development of bilateral relations, mainly on the economic level. On the sidelines of the Anniversary EU-ASEAN Summit, in Brussels, on 14.12.2022, Mr. Prime Minister had a meeting with his counterpart, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong. The main subject was economic and investment cooperation. The Minister met with the Foreign Minister of Singapore in Rome, on 28.6.21, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference of the Global Alliance against the Islamic State, and on 2.08.2022, in Phnom Penh, on the sidelines of the 55thASEAN Ministerial Meeting, where they discussed cooperation on a bilateral level and in International Organizations, as well as developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and Ukraine. Most of the 500 Greeks residing permanently in Singapore are personnel of shipping companies that maintain local offices.
