Bilateral Relations
Switzerland
There is mutual representation at the level of Embassies, which operate in Athens and Bern. Greece operates a Consulate General in Geneva and Honorary Consular Authorities in Zurich and Lugano. In 2015 the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was celebrated (in 1865), while 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Greek Embassy in Bern. A focal point of bilateral relations is the contribution of Ioannis Kapodistrias to the establishment of the first Constitution of Switzerland.
