Greece and Tonga established diplomatic relations in 1984. Relations between the two countries are good, and cooperation, especially on multilateral level, is satisfactory. In August 2004, Tonga’s Minister of Education, Paula Sunia Bloomfield, carried out an official visit to Athens and attended the Olympic Games.
