Relations between Greece and Zimbabwe are at a quite good level despite the fact that sanctions imposed by the EU against the country have not been entirely lifted yet. Greece grants to Zimbabwe academic and military scholarships.

Our country maintains an Embassy in Harare, while Zimbabwe is represented in Greece by its Embassy in Rome via parallel accreditation.

The Greek diaspora living in Zimbabwe contributes significantly to the strengthening of relations between the two countries. Greek Diaspora member Vangelis Haritatos, a member of parliament, is serving his second term as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. The Holy Archdiocese of Zimbabwe and Angola under the Patriarchate of Alexandria is located in Harare. It includes in its spiritual jurisdiction the states of Zimbabwe and Angola.
