
In the framework of the continuing training for the personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (ΗDA), in cooperation with the Head of the Personal Data Protection Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Georgios Patrikios, organised a series of hybrid (online and in person) training seminars on personal data protection during the months of February and March.
The purpose of these seminars was to train the Ministry's employees and familiarize them with the requirements and philosophy of the provisions on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (Law 4624/2019).
The speakers of the seminars were Mr. Georgios Patrikios, as well as experienced executives of the “Nicolas Kanellopoulos – Chara Zerva & Associates Law Firm”, who analysed the basic principles and practical applications of the relevant legal framework.
In his welcome address, the Director of the Hellenic Diplomatic Academy, Ambassador Michael Diamessis, highlighted, among others, the importance of compliance with the provisions of the legislation on the protection of personal data, as well as the ever-increasing role that the Ministry attaches to this area, while underlining the HDA's commitment to the systematic organisation of relevant training programmes.
