Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos will participate in the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council taking place in Brussels on Monday, 18 February.
During commencement of the proceedings, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini is expected to refer to entry into force of the Prespa Agreement. For his part, the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs will present to his counterparts the individual aspects of the Agreement's implementation.
Subsequently, talks will revolve around international and regional developments, focusing on the situation in the Ukraine, the Horn of Africa, as well as recent developments in Syria.
During the Working Luncheon which will follow, the situation in Venezuela will be discussed, based on the briefing that will precede with regard to the outcome of the first meeting of the International Contact Team, in the establishment of which Greece has led the way.
On the margins of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting, the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold bilateral contacts with his counterparts.
