The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Greece in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General in Jerusalem, took prompt action to ensure the safe return of both Greek visitors and residents in the region. Consequently, Greece was among the first countries to successfully complete the repatriation process.
On Monday, October 9th, the first 90 Greek visitors returned. Another 68 returned on Tuesday, October 10th. Finally, 72 Greeks residing in Israel, who wanted to be repatriated, returned on Thursday, October 12th.
Additionally, the evacuation of citizens from European and other countries was facilitated through the aforementioned flights. Specifically, the return of citizens from Austria, Germany, Israel, Albania, Belgium, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Ireland, Latvia, Ukraine, and Panama was ensured.
