Joint Statement by the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain on the agreement on mutual recognition of vaccination certificates (06.05.2021)

The Governments of the Hellenic Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain reached an agreement regarding mutual recognition of vaccination certifications, which is the first of its kind between the two countries.

This agreement has been reached following recent talks between Greece and Bahrain, in addition to communication between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health in both countries.

According to the agreement, vaccinated certificates will be mutually recognized facilitating travel for the citizens of both countries according to the standing covid restrictions and protocols.

The identification process in the near future will be carried out digitally, which will greatly facilitate entry into both countries and is expected to promote tourism, trade and economic relations between the two countries.
