Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis to participate in the Foreign Affairs Council (Brussels, 18.03.2024)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, is travelling to Brussels today, where he will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council tomorrow, Monday, March 18.

The main items on the Council's agenda include the crisis in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine, on which the Foreign Ministers of the European Union will have a discussion, via video teleconference, with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.

Subsequently, the EU Foreign Ministers will be briefed by the EU Sanctions Envoy, David O'Sullivan, while developments in Belarus, Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, as well as the situation in Niger and Haiti are expected to be discussed, as well.

Prior to the Foreign Affairs Council meeting, Mr. Gerapetritis will participate in the 3rd European Humanitarian Forum.
