Deputy FM Amanatidis meets with the Head of the Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Hoang Binh Quan

Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis received Hoang Binh Quan, the Head of the Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, today, Friday, 16 October 2015, at the Foreign Ministry.

During their meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, which can be further strengthened, while Mr. Amanatidis called on the Vietnamese side to consider potential investments in Greece.

Following the meeting, they made the following statements:

HOANG BINH QUAN: This is our fourth visit to Greece. I would say that our bilateral relations are longstanding and traditional. We have excellent impressions of Greece.

From our consultations today, we have the excellent impression that our relations are evolving positively and in all sectors. There is still great potential. We talked about ways to promote bilateral trade and investments, as well as about how we can further develop cultural relations, tourism, and other sectors of cooperation between the two countries, wherever there are prospects.

I have confidence in the good political relations between the two countries and in their major potential. Only when there are meetings and hard work is done can we have admirable relations and development in the future.

Finally, allow me to wish Greece a speedy recovery from the crisis and a return, in the future, to a path of steady growth.

I. AMANATIDIS: It was a great pleasure today to welcome Hoang Binh Quan, the Head of the Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

With this high-ranking official we had the opportunity to talk about strengthening the relations between the two countries in the fields of tourism and culture, as well as our economic relations.

There was an in-depth discussion regarding the level of relations to date, and we reaffirmed the two countries’ will for these relations to become stronger. In the coming time there will be and expansion of the two countries’ joint actions.
