Deputy FM Dollis visits Moscow (14-17 December 2011)

Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Dollis visited Moscow from 14 to 17 December 2011, to attend the 16 December plenary of the 25th Meeting of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Foreign Ministers.

During his stay in Moscow, Mr. Dollis met with Mr. Kaishev, the President of the “Pontos” International Association of Greek expatriate organizations, which includes Greek organization of CIS and Baltic countries, as well as with the President of the Greek Association of Moscow, Mr. Xynopoulos.

Mr. Dollis also met with Russian Transport Minister Igor Livitin, with whom he signed a Bilateral Agreement on International Road Transport, as well as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affaires of the Russian Federation Andrey Denisov. Mr. Denisov stressed that relations with Greece are a high priority for Russia on both the bilateral and multilateral level.

Finally, Mr. Dollis met with the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Konstantin Kosachev, and a number of other Russian officials. The purpose of Mr. Dollis’s talks in Moscow was to examine the network of Greek-Russian bilateral relations and ways of further strengthening those relations.
