Deputy Foreign Minister Kyriakos Gerontopoulos will represent Greece at a two-day Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) in New Delhi, India, on Monday and Tuesday, 11 And 12 November 2013. The theme of the ministerial, which will be attended by Foreign Ministers from 48 European and Asian countries, is, “Bridge to Partnership for Growth and Development.”
The Greek delegation to the Meeting will focus on the sectors of cooperation on renewable energy sources, SMEs, natural disaster management, and development and training of human resources.
On Monday, Mr. Gerontopoulos will address the plenary of the Meeting on “Revitalizing Development,” and on Tuesday he will participate in a reduced-composition Meeting of Foreign Ministers, making an intervention on the subject of “Developments in the Southern Mediterranean – Democratic and socioeconomic transition.”
On the margins of the ASEM Foreign Ministers Meeting, Mr. Gerontopoulos will have bilateral meetings and talks with Ministers and Deputy Ministers from other countries.
