Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas met today with delegations from the two parliaments of the federal entities of Bosnia-Herzegovina – specifically, with representatives of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, headed by Chairman Igor Radojicic, and with representatives of the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, headed by Chairman Fehim Skaljic.
The meeting looked at the prospects for upgrading the economic relations between Greek and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Mr. Kourkoulas was briefed on political developments in the region and the efforts being made to meet the prerequisites for opening the path of accession to the European Union.
Mr. Kourkoulas reiterated Greece’s longstanding will to contribute positively to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s European perspective, stressing that he hopes progress will be made during the Greek EU Presidency in the first half of 2014.
Finally, Mr. Kourkoulas expressed the hope for a direct air link between the two countries.
