Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas met at his office today with Thessaloniki Mayor Yiannis Boutaris.
Mr. Boutaris brieifed Mr. Kourkoulas on the Thessaloniki Municipality’s initiatives aimed at promoting the city’s regional role in the wider Southeast European region.
Mr. Kourkoulas congratulated Mr. Boutaris on these initiatives, assuring him of the Foreign Ministry’s undivided support and readiness to provide assistance.
Mr. Boutaris briefed the Deputy Minister on the Municipality’s plans for events and initiatives in light of its designation as European Youth Capital for 2014.
Finally, they agreed to cooperate closely with each other and European organs ahead of the 2014 Greek EU Presidency.
