Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will be in Brussels from 18 to 20 February. On Monday, 18 February, he will participate in the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which will also convene with Development Cooperation Ministers.
The agenda for the Council includes the situation in Syria and the wider Middle East region, as well as in Mali. Mr. Kourkoulas will attend a working luncheon on the issue of the potential for reopening the Middle East peace process.
On the margins of the Council, Mr. Kourkoulas will participate in the ministerial meeting on the Northern Dimension, with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Norway and Iceland.
Finally, in view of the upcoming Greek EU Presidency in 2014, Mr. Kourkoulas will meet on Tuesday, 19 February, with Greek MEPs, and on Wednesday, 20 February, with the Presidents of the European Parliament political groups.
