Deputy FM Kourkoulas to participate in the European Parliament Plenary (Strasbourg, 25-27 February 2014)

Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will be in Strasbourg from Tuesday to Thursday, 25-27 February, to participate in the European Parliament Plenary.

At 09:00 on Tuesday, 25 February, Mr. Kourkoulas will participate in the Plenary’s Key Debate on the European Semester for economic policy coordination: annual growth survey 2014, employment and social aspects, and single market governance.

On the margins of the Plenary proceedings, Mr. Kourkoulas will represent the Council of the EU at the proceedings of the unofficial Trilogue on the Regulation concerning the charters for and funding of European political parties and European political foundations.

On Wednesday, 26 February, at the morning session (08:30), Mr. Kourkoulas will participate in the Plenary debate on Implementation of the Youth Guarantee, and on EU-Switzerland relations.

At 13:15 he will attend a luncheon being hosted by the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, in honor of the President of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman.

At 14:40 on the same day, Mr. Kourkoulas will sign, with Mr. Schulz, approved European Union legislation, and at 15:00 he will participate in the Plenary proceedings on the situation in Iraq and on the use of armed drones.
