Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will be in Brussels from 10 to 12 March. On Monday he will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), the agenda for which includes developments in EU-Russia relations and the prospects for the Brussels-Moscow strategic relationship, the outlook for EU-Japan relations, Iraq, and the Southern Neighbourhood (Egypt, Tunisia, Libya). The FAC will be followed by a working luncheon with Mr. Brahimi, during which the discussion will focus on the situation in Syria.
Mr. Kourkoulas will also participate in the General Affairs Council (GAC), the agenda for which includes preparations for the 14-15 March European Council. The GAC will be followed by a working dinner to be attended by the President of the European Council, Mr. Van Rompuy.
