Deputy FM Kourkoulas to visit China

Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Kourkoulas will carry out a visit to China to participate in the proceedings of the 11th Greek-Chinese Joint Interministerial Committee (JIC) in Beijing on Wednesday, 28 November 2012.

The full itinerary for his visit to China is as follows:

On Tuesday, 27 November, he will attend an investment seminar, at which he will be the keynote speaker. “Invest in Greece” will also be participating in this seminar. On the same day, Mr. Kourkoulas will meet with his Chinese counterpart XIE Hangsheng, as well as with the President of Cosco, Captain WEI Jiafu.

On Wednesday, 28 November, he will head the Greek delegation in the proceedings of the 11th Greek-Chinese JIC, which he will co-chair with the Chinese Deputy Minister for Trade.

On Thursday, 29 November 2012, he will visit a business forum for Greek products, after which he will travel on to Shanghai.

On Friday and Saturday, 30 November and 1 December, Mr. Kourkoulas will participate in an investment forum being co-hosted by the Greek Consulate General in Shanghai and 21st Century Media. He will be the keynote speaker at this forum, during which there will be a presentation by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) of Greece’s privatization programme, while “Invest in Greece” will present investment opportunities to the forum.

While in Shanghai, Mr. Kourkoulas will meet with local officials and with representatives of the news media.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kourkoulas will be accompanied on his visit to China by the Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation, Peter Mihalos.
