The two Ministers noted the joint political will of Cyprus and Greece to find practices geared toward the further improvement of bilateral relations in the sectors of energy, tourism, commerce, services and pharmaceuticals, as well as in other sectors where Greece and Cyprus can internationalize into markets including those of the Middle East, the Balkans and the Black Sea region.

Also discussed was the strategic cooperation that exists between Greece and Cyprus on energy issues and the common strategic vision aimed at the exploitation and utilization of energy sources with the optimum results.

It was also noted that the Foreign Ministry, through its economic diplomacy programme, hosted the Go International business forum in Nicosia a few months ago, in collaboration with the Cypriot Commerce Ministry, Greek export agencies and Eurobank. This was a successful initiative, facilitating over 1,000 meetings amongst enterprises.

Mr. Kouvelis announced that Cypriot enterprises will participate in the corresponding business forum scheduled to take place in October, in Serbia, and being organized within the framework of Go International, in an effort to extend business activities into Balkan countries.
