Deputy FM Kouvelis speaks at a conference hosted by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and the Moroccan Embassy

Deputy Foreign Minister Spyros Kouvelis spoke on Tuesday, 29 March 2011, at a conference organized by the Federation of Hellenic Enterprises (SEV) and the Moroccan Embassy in Athens. Mr. Kouvelis spoke on “The strengths of the Moroccan economy and the potential for Greek-Moroccan economic cooperation”, and the conference was attended by Moroccan Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Abdellatif Mazouz, with whom Mr. Kouvelis co-chaired the 7th Greek-Moroccan Joint Interministerial Committee, which took place in October 2010, in Athens.

Mr. Kouvelis talked about the opportunities opening up for bilateral commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, the institutional changes Greece has made to attract investments, and the Greek-Moroccan cooperation protocol that covers various sectors of mutual interest, including industry; energy and renewable energy sources; standardization and evaluation of specifications; and avoidance of double taxation.
