Deputy Foreign Minister Spyros Kouvelis will speak at the Foreign Ministry’s Kranidiotis Amphitheatre (1 Vas. Sofias Ave.) at 10:00 on Friday, 15 April, at a YES - European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs Conference on "Turning the global crisis to an opportunity for United Europe: Competitiveness through entrepreneurship". The Conference is being held under the auspices of the Foreign and Regional Development & Competitiveness Ministries.
Mr. Kouvelis will also meet at 09:30, at the Foreign Ministry (10 Zalokostas St., 8th floor), with the YES board of directors.
The first day of the conference (14 April) will focus on access to startup capital, the second day (15 April) will look at access to market, and the third day (16 April) will focus on entrepreneurial education and the concept of 'Symbolic Capital'.
The Foreign Ministry’s support for young entrepreneurs’ efforts to do business abroad is one of the five initiatives/means of promoting externalization in the Foreign Ministry’s economic diplomacy planning for 2011, as announced by Mr. Kouvelis on 31 January 2011.
