Deputy FM Tsiaras meets with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Tsiaras met on Thursday, 29 November, with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew within the framework of his visit to Istanbul.

Mr. Tsiaras briefed the Ecumenical Patriarch on the progress of the draft law regarding reforms to the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE), as well as on his recent meeting in Athens with the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Conference of European Churches (CEC)

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed his satisfaction at the Eurogroup decision, and his optimism about the country’s future.

On Friday, 30 November 2012, Mr. Tsiaras will attend the Ecumenical Patriarchates Enthronement Feast-Day celebrations.
