Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Tsiaras met today with Serbian Ambassador Dragan Zupanjevac.
The main reason for the meeting was the Serbian Ambassador’s desire for a briefing on Greek policy on Greeks abroad, particularly with regard to teaching of the Greek language.
Mr. Tsiaras briefed the Serbian Ambassador on Greece’s longstanding policy on this issue, mentioning the role of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) and the preparations under way for the organization’s restructuring.
