On 2 November 2012, during his visit to South Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Tsiaras signed a Greek-South African bilateral Agreement on Economic Cooperation, aimed at strengthening and expanding economic ties between the two countries, encouraging cooperation between entrepreneurs, and promoting investments.
Mr. Tsiaras also took the opportunity of his visit of meet with Finance Minister Gauteng Mandla Nkomfe and the Prime Minister of Western Cape, Helen Zille.
Mr. Tsiaras also attended a dinner at which former South African president Frederik de Klerk was present.
