G. Kotsiras: We are jointly shaping the future policies for the younger generations of Hellenism
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Kotsiras, speaking today, Wednesday, at the 1st Greek Youth Diaspora Symposium "Diaspora Dialogues: Connecting young voices around the world", stressed the importance of strengthening ties between the young generation of the Diaspora and Greece.
The Deputy Minister, welcoming young people of the Greek Diaspora from around the world, emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Strategic Plan for Greeks Abroad includes actions aimed at creating channels of communication and intensifying dialogue with the new generation of the Diaspora, such as, inter alia, the enhanced and expanded youth hosting programs.
As the Deputy Minister stressed, thanks to the hosting programs organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, young Greeks from around the world combine their participation at the Symposium and their visit in Greece with activities on Greek culture and the Greek language.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister highlighted that the Greek Diaspora respresents an enormous national capital, and invited young participants in the Symposium to share views and proposals on the issues that concern them, in order to jointly shape, together with the Greek State, the future policies for the younger generations of Hellenism and their stronger ties with Greece.
