Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tasos Chatzivasileiou participates in the Thessaloniki Summit 2025 (Thessaloniki, 18 February 2025)

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion, Tasos Chatzivasileiou, participated on Tuesday, 18 February 2025, in the proceedings of the Thessaloniki Summit 2025, which was held for the 8th year by the Federation of Industries of Greece (SVE), in collaboration with the Delphi Economic Forum.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in a roundtable discussion on 'Economic Diplomacy in the Balkans', where he exchanged views with the President of the Exporters Association of Northern Greece Simeon Diamantidis, the President of the Hellenic Business Association of Albania Denald George Tafani, the Deputy President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Krasimir Dachev, the Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency Mila Nenova, as well as the Executive Director and CEO of ALUMIL Giorgos Mylonas. The discussion was moderated by the journalist and anchor of AlphaTV Maria Nikoltsiou.

Mr. Chatzivasileiou underlined that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs promotes and strengthens the economic ties with all the Balkan countries and supports every effort to strengthen the activities of Greek enterprises in these markets. He also stressed the Greek government’s strategic choice to upgrade Greece to an energy hub, capable of providing energy security and geopolitical stability in the wider geographical region.
