Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Terens Quick received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Greece, Andrey M. Maslov, at his office today. They discussed the upcoming visit of the Deputy Foreign Minister to the southern part of Russia (Vityazevo, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar and Sochi), where substantial Greek populations reside.
During his visit, the Deputy Foreign Minister is also set to meet with the Greek Community of Moscow and he will hold bilateral meetings at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.
He further discussed with the Russian Ambassador the current tensions created by Turkey in the area of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean, reiterating Greece’s position, as expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs then held an introductory meeting with the soon-to-be-accredited Ambassador of South Africa to Greece, Beryl Rose Sisulu.
