Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos met today, Wednesday, 22 January, in Montreux, on the margins of the Geneva II Conference on Syria, with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Dr. Nabil Al Araby, who thanked Mr. Venizelos for the Joint Meeting of EU and Arab League Foreign Ministers that is set to take place in Athens, on 10 June 2014, and will be one of the most important meets to take place within the framework of the Hellenic Presidency.
Mr. Venizelos also met, during the luncheon, with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, and, bearing in mind the Chinese interest in the investment in the Port of Piraeus, he invited him to visit Greece.
Finally, Mr. Venizelos met with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hosyar Zebari, with whom he discussed the situation in the country and in the Middle East, as well as the prospects for synergies between Greek and Iraqi enterprises.
