Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Venizelos meets with Panamanian Foreign Minister Fernando Nunez Fabrega

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos met in New York today, Thursday, 26 September, with Panamanian Foreign Minister Fernando Nunez Fabrega, within the framework of Ministerial Week at the 68th UN General Assembly.

During their meeting, they exchanged views on international and regional issues, and they looked at ways to strengthen Greek-Panamanian bilateral relations and capitalize on the upcoming Greek EU Presidency to strengthen EU-Panamanian relations.

They also decided on the activation of the existing cultural agreement that provides for the exchange of scientists, professors, researchers and university students between the two countries.

Both Ministers also remarked on the significance of the active Greek community in Panama, which is a bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
