In the framework of Ministerial Week of the 68th UN General Assembly in New York, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos met today with Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah.
During their meeting, the two Ministers looked at ways to promote the two countries’ bilateral relations and strengthen Qatar’s investment presence in Greece. Messrs. Venizelos and Al Attiyah also agreed on an exchange of visits on the level of Foreign Ministers, and Mr. Venizelos stated that Greece will endeavor during its upcoming EU Presidency to put emphasis on the strengthening of relations between the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
