Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos will meet at the Foreign Ministry at 12:40 on Wednesday, 30 October 2013, with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, who will be carrying out an official visit to Greece.
Their one-on-one meeting will be followed by expanded talks between the Greek and Russian delegations, as well as by the signing of bilateral agreements.
Messrs. Venizelos and Lavrov are scheduled to make statements to the news media at 14:20.
Finally, Mr. Venizelos will host a luncheon in honor of the Russian Foreign Minister.
Within the framework of the Russian Foreign Minister’s visit, Messrs. Venizelos and Lavrov will declare the opening of the Symposium on “Ioannis Kapodistrias and modern Greek-Russian relations,” at the Divani Caravel hotel’s Macedonia Hall, at 10:00.
