Within the framework of the Strategic Plan for Greeks Abroad 2024-2027, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperates with various agencies and has signed relevant cooperation memoranda/protocols in order to achieve its goals more effectively.

Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Employment Service

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Employment Service signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in September 2024. The memorandum aims to inform Greeks abroad about job opportunities in Greece. It also plans and develops a framework of actions and incentives for their re-engagement in the domestic labor market. Our Authorities abroad will provide information on initiatives, actions, and programs concerning employment prospects in Greece and organize information workshops.

Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Municipality of Athens

In June 2024, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Municipality of Athens to host children from the Greek communities of the Diaspora in summer camps. The Memorandum aims to host at least 200 children, 50 per camping period, at no cost. The camps are located in Agios Andreas, Attica. This initiative seeks to enhance and expand exchange and hosting programs for children and young people of the diaspora, enabling them to reconnect with their roots and place of origin. Participants will have the chance to build a meaningful relationship with Greece while developing their Greek language skills, cultural understanding, and familiarity with modern-day Greece.

Protocol of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Study in Greece

The Protocol of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Study in Greece links the Greek academic world with the Greek Diaspora and supports the internationalization of Greek higher education by creating contacts between Greek and foreign universities for the design and implementation of joint programs and actions. It was signed in April 2024 by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President of Study in Greece and it focuses on the use of digital tools to strengthen the dissemination of information on the ever-increasing educational and research opportunities offered by our country, as well as to promote networking between academic communities in Greece and abroad.
