Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos today met with and briefed a Foreign Affairs delegation from the Democratic Left party.
Democratic Left MPs Maria Giannakaki and Odysseas Voudouris participated in the meeting, along with Democratic Left Executive Committee member Gerasimos Georgatos and Foreign Ministry officials.
During the meeting the Democratic Left representatives were briefed on Foreign Ministry priorities and the important issues facing Greek foreign policy. There was also a discussion of issues concerning the Ministry’s operation and institutional role, with emphasis on the need for the necessary means to be made available to the Diplomatic Service so that it can carry out its special mission, particularly at a time of crisis for the country.
