Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos met today with Finnish Foreign Trade and European Affairs Minister Alexander Stubb.
During the meeting, which took place in a warm climate, the two Ministers had the opportunity for an in-depth discussion of recent European developments, with emphasis on the need for coordinated and collective action on the part of the EU member states so that Europe as a whole can respond successfully to the crisis. The two ministers also discussed Greek-Finnish bilateral relations, ascertaining the strong traditional ties of friendship that link the two countries and that should be utilized, in avoidance of the divisions that are so damaging to our joint effort.
