Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos met today at the Foreign Ministry with the Croatian Ambassador to Greece, Dr. Ivan Velimir Starcevic.
During the meeting, Mr. Avramopoulos underscored the excellent level of the relations between the two countries and welcomed Croatia’s upcoming accession to the EU.
The Croatian Ambassador delivered two letters to Mr. Avramopoulos on behalf of Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ms. Vesna Pusic, inviting the Greek Foreign Minister to visit Zagreb for Croatia’s official EU accession ceremony, on 30 June 2013, and informing him of her intention to visit Greece before Greece assumes the EU Presidency, in response to an invitation from Mr. Avramopoulos.
