Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos met today with Israeli Ambassador Arye Mekel.
During the meeting, which took place in a friendly climate, they reaffirmed the excellent level of Greek-Israeli bilateral relations, which are characterized by high-level cooperation with significant results, as in the tourism sector.
Ambassador Mekel conveyed an invitation from Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman for Mr. Avramopoulos to visit Israel.
Mr. Avramopoulos reiterated the Greek government’s condolences for the victims of the terrorist attack on a tour bus in Burgas, Bulgaria.
