Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos met at the Foreign Ministry today with United Arab Emirates Ambassador Abdelhadi Abdelwahid Alkhajah
During their meeting they reaffirmed the excellent level of Greek-UAE bilateral relations and the mutual will of the two sides to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all sectors of common interest – as well as on the political and economic levels – and enrich the bilateral contractual framework.
The UAE Ambassador expressed his country’s great interest in further tightening ties with Greece, pointing to the traditional relations of friendship and mutual respect between the two peoples.
With a view to further promoting bilateral cooperation, as well as exchanging views and coordinating on the critical developments in the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Avramopoulos addressed an official invitation to his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to visit Greece on a date to be determined via diplomatic channels.
