Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos sent a message of condolence to the family of Ilias Krispis, distinguished professor of International Law, expressing his deep sadness at Krispis’s passing.
In his message, Mr. Avramopoulos underscored Ilias Krispis’s contribution as a professor and as a legal advisor to the Foreign Ministry. An internationally recognized legal expert, Ilias Krispis represented Greece at international organizations -- particularly the UN General Assembly -- and at international conferences on the Cyprus Issue, the Law of the Sea, international humanitarian law and international criminal law.
