Foreign Minister Avramopoulos sends message of condolence for the victims of the Iran earthquake – Greece ready to provide assistance

Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos sent a message to his Iranian counterpart A. Salehi on Monday, expressing deep condolences for the victims of the catastrophic earthquakes that hit northwestern Iran, as well as the Greek people’s support for the people of Iran.

Mr. Avramopoulos also expressed the Greek government’s readiness to provide all possible assistance in meeting the needs arising from the disaster. To this end, Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation Peter Mihalos yesterday contacted the Iranian Ambassador to Athens, who expressed warm thanks for the support of the Greek people at the difficult time being faced by his homeland.
