Foreign Minister Dimas to participate in NATO Ministerial Meeting (Brussels, 7-8 December 2011)

Foreign Minister Stavros Dimas is participating today and tomorrow, 7 and 8 December, in the proceedings of the Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Brussels.

The first day of the meeting will include two sessions of the North Atlantic Council, on the subjects of the Western Balkans – with emphasis on Kosovo – Afghanistan, anti-missile defence, Russia-NATO relations and NATO’s Defence & Deterrence Posture Review. These meetings will be followed by a working dinner for NATO Foreign Ministers at which the discussion will focus on the Arab Spring and NATO partnerships with countries of the Mediterranean Dialogue and the Western Balkans.

The proceedings on the second day will include a NATO-Russia Council meeting and a meeting of the North Atlantic Council with the participation of NATO countries contributing to the NATO mission in Afghanistan (ISAF).
